Rebecca Adams de Gárate is a wife, mother of one, and a business owner. Although she is a Seattle native, she currently resides in Cuenca, Ecuador with her family. Her current titles include Co-founder and International Program Director of El Nomad Immersion Programs, Co-founder and Research Consultant for Naked Consulting International, and On-site Purchasing Coordinator in Ecuador for an up and coming fair-trade nonprofit.
Rebecca has studied and lived in Ecuador, Argentina, Australia and the United States, and traveled throughout Southeast Asia, Central and South America, and Europe; developing relationships around the world. She has worked in academia, research and development, tourism, and educational travel industries. She has a strong independent streak of an entrepreneur and the diligence of a researcher.
The mission of the Women of Fifty project aligns with Rebecca’s vision of women around the world achieving an equal and respected status as full partners in economic recovery and development.
